On May 16th FDA decided to extend the comment period for the proposed rule on diet­ary supplement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) by 60 days. According to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the action was taken in response to requests for more time to submit comments to FDA. Written or electronic comments should be submitted by August 11th and can be sent to the Dockets Management Branch (HFA-305), Food and Drug Administration, 5630 Fishers Lane, Rm. 1061, Rockville, MD 20852.
